Burley is less than a mile north west of Leeds city centre so is a convenient place to live. Growing in popularity for student accommodation in Leeds, there is an ever increasing number of cafes, bars and shops.

Eating & Drinking

Due to the new builds of student accommodation, there are a plethora of new bars and cafes to join the already well established favourites like Hukaz, the Clock Café and Akmal’s Tandoori.

Entertainment and culture

The Cardigan Fields complex on Kirkstall Road is accessible with its multiplex cinema, Virgin Active Health Club and range of chain restaurants.

Sport and leisure

Just up the road is Headingley stadium, which is home to Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Leeds Rhinos Rugby League and Leeds Carnegie Rugby Union.

Shopping

There are local shops in Burley with a 24 hour Co-op, Subs sandwich shop and Menston Bakery situated on Cardigan Road and the large Morrisons at the bottom of Kirkstall Road.

Transport

Burley is ideally located for regular vus routes to and from the Universities and even has its own train station making it just a few minutes from Leeds City Centre., which is in fact only a 15 minute walk away.

Working

With the growing number of new bars, cafes and shops there are opportunities for part time work, and with easy access to Leeds City Centre and Headingley, there is even more opportunity.
