Roundhay is a very popular for professional lets in Leeds. It is an affluent and desirable residential area a few miles north of Leeds city centre close to the famous 700 acre park of the same name and boasts a range of restaurants, cafes and shops.
Eating & Drinking
Roundhay is close to Street Lane with its parade of exclusive shops, bars, restaurants and delis, where you can shop for designer labels and round of your trip with a drink at Napa or lunch at the famous Flying Pizza. Further down towards the park is the Roundhay Fox pub and a short hop down past the park are more restaurants and bars around the Oakwood clock.
Sport and leisure
A compelling draw is the large urban park in Roundhay, which includes Tropical World, a draw for residents and tourists alike. It is popular with runners and dog walkers and hosts football, cricket and softball matches. There is even a 9 hole golf course at the edge of the park.
Shopping
There is a good selection of high end boutique shops on Street Lane as well as good selection for food lovers at the award winning deli, Haley and Clifford.
Transport
Roundhay is just 5 miles from the city centre and buses run regularly. It also sits on the A6120 ring road so provides easy access to other parts of Leeds and to the M1, A1 and M62.
Working
Employers from almost all industries have a base in Leeds. It is a major hub for professional services, law and financial services, with well known companies such as First Direct, Yorkshire Bank and Leeds Building Society. It also has the highest number of central government jobs outside of London, with the Department of Health particularly. Asda’s headquarters are close to the station and Morrison’s HQ is a short hop to the edge of Bradford.
