Five miles north of Leeds, Adel is wonderful blend or urban, suburban and rural living. The access to green open spaces whilst being an easy commute in to Leeds makes it very popular for professional lets in Leeds.

Eating & Drinking

The Lawnswood Arms is the main pub in the area and has been a mainstay for many years. Refined dining is available at the Italian restaurants Gusto and Divino.

Sport and leisure

Adel is a green and leafy suburb but if you need more space Goldenacre Park is close by with its expanses of green, lake and café make it a popular destination for many.

The playing fields of Leeds Metropolitan University are located nearby on the ring road and provide facilities for football, rugby and hockey.

Headingley Stadium is a couple of miles south along the Leeds-Otley Road, which is home to Leeds Rhinos Rugby League, Leeds Carnegie Rugby Union and Yorkshire Cricket Ground

Shopping

There is a small gathering of local shops on the Leeds-Otley Road as well as the convenience of Asda nearby.

Transport

A metro bus service runs from Adel in to Leeds city centre with journeys taking about half an hour.

Working

Many professionals letting in Adel commute in to Leeds. Employers from almost all industries have a base in Leeds. It is a major hub for professional services, law and financial services, with well known companies such as First Direct, Yorkshire Bank and Leeds Building Society. It also has the highest number of central government jobs outside of London, with the Department of Health particularly. Asda’s headquarters are close to the station and Morrison’s HQ is a short hop to the edge of Bradford.

Schools

There are a couple of excellent primary schools in the area; Adel Primary School and Adel St John the Baptist Primary School with some good high schools and academies in proximity.
