Crossgates has transformed over the years from a village to the east of Leeds with few amenities to a bustling commuter town with an excellent range of local facilities, easy access to major commuter links and a well serviced train station. This has seen the area become ever more popular, particularly with professional lets in Leeds.
Eating & Drinking
Traditional pubs and restaurants have recently been supplemented with new eateries offering foods from around the world, like Zorba’s bar and grill and Moreno’s tapas bar.
Sport and leisure
A main attraction near Crossgates is Temple Newsham Park, which is great place to have a stroll around, admire the old house and meet the animals on the farm!
More locally there is Manston Park offering green space, trees, football fields, tennis courts, crown green bowling and children’s play area.
Nearby is the John Smeaton leisure centre with swimming, exercise classes and sports halls.

Trains take just ten minutes to reach Leeds City Centre and there are numerous buses running regularly.
Employers from almost all industries have a base in Leeds. It is a major hub for professional services, law and financial services, with well known companies such as First Direct, Yorkshire Bank and Leeds Building Society. It also has the highest number of central government jobs outside of London, with the Department of Health particularly. Asda’s headquarters are close to the station and Morrison’s HQ is a short hop to the edge of Bradford.
